Zoning Commission Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on two motions which is an amendment, identified as number ZC-2026-2 and ZC-2026-3 to the Chester Township Zoning Resolution at the Chester Town Hall located at 12701 Chillicothe, at 7:00 p.m. on May 20, 2026.

The motions proposing to amend the Zoning Resolution will be available for examination at the Chester Town Hall during regular office hours and available on the Chester Township website from April 20, 2026 to the end of all public hearings.

After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the board of township trustees for its action.

BZA Public Hearings

April 13, 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on a continued application identified as ZA-2026-1, on the 13th day of April 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Chester Town Hall.

The applicant, Paul Ridley is requesting an area variance for height and size of a proposed accessory building.  The accessory building would have an area of 8,424 square feet and a proposed median height of 25’. This proposal is in violation of the maximum total area of 2,500 square feet per Section 501.3 of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution and the 20’ median height permitted per Section 501.17 of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution.

Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application identified as ZA-2026-3, on the 13th day of April 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Chester Town Hall.

The applicant, Brian Boss is requesting an area variance for his property located at 11191 Winding Brook Lane.  He proposes building his accessory building closer to the road than the required 70 feet from the road right-of-way.  This proposal is in violation of Section 501.3 (C) of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution.

Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application identified as ZA-2026-4, on the 13th day of April 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Chester Town Hall.

The applicants, Alyssa and Cody Timmer are requesting an area variance for their property located at 11545 Blackberry Lane.  They propose building their accessory building in the front yard.  This proposal is in violation of Section 501.3 (C) of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution.
