LOGS AVAILABLE

Chester Township Road Department has logs available at our yard on Mulberry Road. There is no cost for the logs. Please phone the Road Department at 440.729.9110 if you are interested. You will need to complete a liability waiver and let us know when you would like to pick up the logs. The Road Department will not cut, load, or deliver firewood.

2026 SUMMER PROJECT LIST

• Camelot Drive: We will be upgrading a road culvert at the entrance of the road. There will be signs posted when this project begins. Please limit unnecessary driving during this time. Traffic can be heavy on this road, so it will be helpful to efficiently completing the project if traffic is limited.
• Chapin Street: We will be upgrading a road culvert near Hillendale Road. There will be signs posted. Chapin Street will be closed to thru traffic during construction.
• Chesterfield Lane: This project will add 3.25 inches of asphalt to the road. Your driveway apron will be affected. Please read any correspondence sent to you from the road department regarding ongoing maintenance.
• Sherman Road: This project affects the portion of the road between Chillicothe Road and Sperry Road, and will consist of milling 1.5 inches of the road and adding 3 inches of asphalt. Your driveway apron may be affected. Please read any correspondence sent to you from the road department regarding ongoing maintenance.
• Sperry Road: This project affects the portion of the road between Sherman Road and Mayfield Road, and will consist of milling 1.5 inches of the road and adding 3 inches of asphalt. Your driveway apron may be affected. Please read any correspondence sent to you from the road department regarding ongoing maintenance.

ADDITIONAL PROJECTS

• Driveway Pipe Replacements will be occurring on Chesterfield Lane, Harold Drive, Morning Glory Trail, Oak Hill Drive, and various other roads TBD.
• The Township will be milling and paving the following roads: The southbound lane of Caves Road (north of Mulberry Road), Hovey Drive extensions, Puddingstone Drive cul-de-sac, and Wedgewood Drive. We will be chip sealing Heath Road and Sperry Road. We will be crack sealing Cedar Road (between Caves Road and Lakewood Drive), Sherman Road (between County Line Road and Chillicothe Road), and Sperry Road (between Sherman Road and Wilson Mills Road).
• The Township will be doing road-side mowing across the township. The mowers are slow moving, so please drive with care.
