Chester Township Cemetery

Chester Township proudly owns and cares for three cemeteries:

 

Chester Township Cemetery, located at 12250 Chillicothe Road 

The Chester Township Cemetery, located 12250 Chillicothe Road in Chesterland, OH, is a burial ground that offers cemetery plots and burial services. The Cemetery Coordinator provides information about cemetery pricing and policies, burial records, plot records, and other Chester Township Cemetery records.

Old Settlement Cemetery, located at 9545 Mayfield Road

Old Settlement Cemetery is an inactive cemetery, the last burial having been at the passing of Pemberton Scott, age 67, in November of 1916. The first interment, in April of 1811, was that of Mabel Miner, the wife of Chester Township founder, Justice Miner. The majority of the burials in this cemetery occurred during the 1840s through the 1890s.

Quirk Cemetery, located at 12703 Woodside Drive

Quirk Cemetery is an inactive cemetery, the last burial having been at the passing of Lucinda Williams, age 79, in November of 1915. The first interment, in May 1844, was that of Luke Philbrick, age 38. Most of the burials at this cemetery occurred during the 1850s and 1860s. The largest monument in Quirk Cemetery is that of Albert Sears (d. July 18, 1874 – age 82), measuring 23 feet tall and weighing 27 tons.
