The Chester Township Board of Trustees have prepared this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit Statements of Qualifications and other pertinent information from individual attorneys and/or firms summarizing their unique experience, capabilities, knowledge, resources, skills, and any other special characteristics enabling them to provide outside legal counsel to the township and the Township Board of Trustees. The primary focus of this request is personnel, labor relations, contracts, policies and employment matters.
Any parties interested in submitting a Statement of Qualifications in response to this RFQ are invited to do so, in compliance with the guidelines provided in this document, by 4:00pm (EDT) on August 20th, 2026. Responses to this RFQ should be emailed in PDF file format to the Township Administrator at mpurchaseta@chestertwp.org, and submitting parties shall confirm by telephone, before the response deadline, that their electronic (emailed PDF) submittal was received by calling (440) 729-7058.

ROAD WORKER
At a minimum, CDL B is required. Experienced in manual labor techniques, using power tools such as chainsaws and lawn mowers, and running equipment such as backhoe, hydro seeder, and loader. Experience with snow and ice removal and roadside mowing. Pay starting at $27.05 /hour & commensurate with experience. ZONING BOARD POSITIONS
The Chester Township Board of Trustees are accepting letters of interest from community minded residents willing to serve a five-year term as a regular member or a two-year term as an alternate member of the Chester Township Board of Zoning Appeals OR the Chester Township Zoning Commission.
Applicants need to be residents of Chester Township, and the positions are open to all residents, 18 years of age and older. These positions are considered voluntary, but a small stipend is offered, per each meeting attended.
While anyone may apply, architects, building contractors, persons familiar with the construction process and attorneys are ideally suited to the BZA or Zoning Commission.

The Zoning Commission meets the first and third Wednesday of each month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the second Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
