Ken Radtke

Ken Radtke

Ken Radtke, Jr. has lived in Chester with his wife Wendy (Goodman) since 1990 and has served on multiple volunteer committees over the years and been a regular attendee at trustee meetings for more than 30 years.

Ken has the honor and privilege of serving the residents as Township Trustee since being elected in 2012. Ken is a graduate of Michigan Technological University (BS Chemical Engineering, 1982) and is the principal of Environmental Guidance, Inc. which provides environmental health and safety program management for industry.

Ken enjoys gardening, fishing, and the outdoors. Ken welcomes input from citizens and encourages all our residents to take an active role in government and learn more about what is going on in Chester Township by attending township meetings and talking with the elected officials.

TRUSTEE

Craig Richter

Craig Richter

Craig Richter was elected in November 2021 and is currently serving his first term as Trustee and is currently the liaison to the Service Department, in addition to being active with several County and Township organizations. Craig previously served as the Fiscal Officer from 2014-2020.

Craig is a 1982 graduate from West Geauga High School and has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University in (1989), a master’s in business from the John Carroll University (2002) and a master’s in taxation from the Akron University (2010). Craig’s tax career has been in both public and industry.  Although recently retired from Nestle USA, Craig has chosen to continue his career as a Tax Manager at Current Lighting Solutions.

Dedicated to the improvement of his community, Craig has volunteered with local organizations such as the West Geauga Rec Council, the Chesterland Historical Society, and Boy Scout Troop 91. In addition, has sat on the Boards and volunteered for many regional non-profits.

Craig has resided in Chesterland since 2002 with his wife (Betsy) and two children, Matthew, and Alex. The family enjoys traveling but mostly enjoys their annual trip to Maine.

Craig looks forward to serving all the residents of Chester Township as Trustee and will work diligently for the betterment of the Chester Township while preserving the semi-rural setting.

Joe Mazzurco

Joe Mazzurco

Joe Mazzurco is a long-time resident of Chester Township, moving to the area in 1974 with his mom & dad, living on Cedar Road. Joe continues to be a resident of this community today, with his wife Julie, son JC & daughter Jenna.

Joe was a 1983 graduate of the West Geauga High School and a 1989 graduate of Kent State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administrator.

Previously a senior project manager for American Preservation Builders and 27-year, co-owner of H&M Landscaping, Joe brings forth budget analysis, planning, financial management, negotiation, maintenance, and scheduling skills to the township.

Joe was a football coach for the Chesterland Lions Club and an assistant coach for West Geauga School Football Team.  As a 15-year Lions Club member, Joe was instrumental with the Club in the creation of Safety Township for our Police Department. Joe served on the turf field committee, at the West Geauga High School stadium and continues to be heavily involved with our local Parks & Recreation.

Patricia Jarrett

Patricia Jarrett

Patricia Jarrett grew up in Chardon Township going to St Mary’s in Chardon for grades 1 -8 and Notre Dame Academy for high school graduating in 1981. Patricia worked in the private sector as a bookkeeper working her way through college and graduated from Cleveland State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting.

Patricia was hired into a large regional CPA firm in Houston Texas specializing in taxation representing clients in Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Ranching.  It was not unusual for Patricia to be out at the barn on a ranch going over the books. In 1993 Patricia passed the Certified Public Accountant Exam in Ohio and decided to open her own practice in her home town of Chardon Ohio.

Patricia through the years has volunteered for many organizations including Chardon Chamber of Commerce and Chardon Square Association serving as President, Secretary Treasurer, Chairing Halloween for 8 years, and Co-Chairing Christmas for 5 years.

After 20 years of owning her own CPA practice, Patricia decided to semi – retire in 2014 and spend her winters in Arizona with her husband Michael. After wintering in Arizona for a number of years, Patricia and Michael missed the family and now stay home in Ohio for the winter.

Patricia and Michael chose to reside in Chester Township in 2011 loving the rural, small town atmosphere. In November 2019 Patricia was elected as Fiscal Officer for Chester Township and started her term in February 2020.
