*Each Memorial Day at the Chester Township Cemetery, the township trustees host an event which honors local U.S. military personnel who have given their lives in service to their country while serving the United States armed forces. An important facet of this program is the reading out of the names of all veterans buried in Chester Township Cemetery. American flags are displayed from Memorial Day until prior to winter at the gravesites of all veterans interred within the cemetery. It is very important to the township that no veteran is forgotten. If you have a family member or loved one who served in the United States armed forces, and his or her name is not included  in the list of veterans, we would like to hear from you. Also, Chester Township Cemetery contains memorial stones for several veterans who were killed in action or died in service. We would like to specially recognize these individuals. Again, the township would like to know of any additional individuals who may fall into this category. If you have information regarding the name of a veteran who is buried in Chester Township, please contact Cemetery Sexton, Lisa Luoma at 440-729-9110 or by email at lluoma@chestertwp.org.
