Perennial Gardeners prepare for Parkside Garden Renovation
Over 60 years ago, The Perennial Gardeners of Chesterland (“PGC”) started the Parkside Garden, and the club has not stopped caring for this space since. In the Fall of 2023, two overly mature trees needed to be removed, prompting the start of the Parkside Garden renovation project.
The Corner Garden serves as a “Welcome Mat” for the Township, greeting all who pass by, and PGC is proud to care for it on behalf of the community. Starting in April 2024, work will begin to put the garden back together. The club hopes to complete the space by the end of May with their annual “Parkside Planting Meeting”, where PGC members plant annuals for this space to shine with beauty all summer long.
