At the October 5th, 2023 Board of Trustees regular meeting, the Board unanimously passed the following motion, in immediate response to the news that the Ohio Department of Taxation and had mandated that Geauga County residential home values be increased on average of 29.5%.
The Board of Trustees will be considering a Resolution on Wednesday / November 22nd, at a special meeting. The Resolution if approved will direct the Geauga County Auditor’s Office to not collect taxes in 2024, on the .5 Mil Police Levy that was recently approved in November of 2021.
